    Life Longevity

The Italian island of Sardinia has more than six times as many centenarians as the mainland and ten times as many as North America. Why? According to longevity researcher Susan Pinker, it's not a sunny disposition or a low-fat, gluten-free diet that keeps the islanders alive so long -- it's their emphasis on close personal relationships and face-to-face interactions. Learn more about super longevity as Pinker explains what it takes to live to 100 and beyond.

    For the Community of Congleton

Incorporated in April 2016, The GlenScott Partnership set up the Congleton Community Partnership, trading as Congleton Community Co-Operative as a sustainable Social Enterprise to serve the people of Congleton, England. Its mission was to alleviate loneliness within the community by providing activities such as morning coffees, afternoon teas, cooking classes, other classes, social evenings, etc. Its further mission was to embrace sustainable abundance of fruits and vegetables by making jams, preservatives and the making of cider from windfall apples donated by the community.

    Community Hub

In April 2016, The GlenScott Partnership negotiated to lease a building which had been derelict and empty for four years but had been for many years an old saw mill. Stewart, a Social Entrepreneur, and the Founder of The GlenScott Partnership spent over 60 hours per week for 8 months renovating the property and developing into a cafe and lounge area seating over 40 covers, an urban sunken garden, a distillery for making cider, a commercial kitchen for "Meals on Wheels", 48 sq. m. of open space named "Theatre of the Mind" and two meeting rooms. It was the Community Hub for Congleton and was opened in Nov. 2016.
